We have looked at some old Testament high priests and we saw in the fifth chapter of the Book of Hebrews that Jesus is our perfect high priest….perfect because he was fully God and yet able to relate to us and to sympathize with us because in his humanity he experienced the full range of human emotions…Today Pastor Broggi concludes his message entitled the perfect High priest.

All born again Christians know that Jesus Christ died for us so that if we put our trust in him alone to cleanse us of our sins we will enjoy eternal life with him in heaven….but many of us don’t realize that in addition to being our atonement for sin, Jesus Christ is also our intercessor, our mediator with God the father. The Lord Jesus is the believer’s representative before God the Father. When we pray, we are commanded to pray through Jesus because as we will see beginning today, he is our great high priest.

Pastor Broggi has looked at the condition of many Christians and found in many cases defeated and tired Christians. We saw that God calls us into his rest and Dr. Broggi noted the meaning of Good News. Finally we saw abandonment is the first thing needed to enter God’s rest and today as he finishes his message Carl notes the second thing we need to enter God’s rest is abiding…
