Much of the behavior of the last days is marked by people doing whatever they want rather than what God commands. And as we pick up today, Dr. Broggi recounts a letter he received about divorce and he emphasizes what God’s standard is as outlined in 1st Corinthians 7.

By God’s calendar, we are living in the last days and that we are living in difficult times. As we pick up, we see in verses 2 through 4 the moral character of individuals being used by the devil. In verse 5 we see their religious observance and in verses 6 through 9 their proselytizing zeal. As we rejoin Dr. Broggi he begins a look at these individuals’ moral character.

It is evident to those who have been around for a while that the morals and mores of modern day society are on the decline…but this should come as no surprise. The apostle Paul in his ‘last will and testament’ addressed this to his Son in the faith Timothy and to us.

Our study is from 1st Peter 4 and Hebrews 12 and from Hebrews we pick up in verse 8 which reads But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. If we are to triumph as families one critical component has to be that we love the Lord with all our strength, with all our minds, and with all our hearts. In looking at the people of Malachi’s day we saw Thursday that they had disrespected God by what they said. As we pick up in Malachi 1:7 and 8 today we see that they had also disrespected God by what they sacrificed.

We have begun a study of the book of Philippians, and when we left off last week in a message entitled, “Got Joy?” Audrey was looking at verse 6 of chapter 1 which reads “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Let’s rejoin her now as she picks up on this thought.

Pastor Broggi moves to the first chapter of Malachi and encourages us to begin living passionately for God.
